Updated July 2026

Mosheim FunDays is the signature celebration of Mosheim, a small town in western Greene County, Tennessee. Held every year in early June, it's a free, family-friendly festival that has run annually since 1986 — a full day of a Main Street parade, a car show, a beauty pageant, food and crafts, live music, and fireworks that draws folks from across the western end of the county.

What is Mosheim FunDays?

FunDays is the kind of hometown festival that defines rural East Tennessee: put on by the Town of Mosheim, open to everyone, and free to attend. It takes over the town for a weekend each June with something for every age — a car show for the gearheads, a pageant for the kids, a 5K for the runners, craft and food booths down the street, and a parade and fireworks that bring the whole community out. Mosheim is a town of about 2,500 people, so FunDays is genuinely the event of the year here.

A day at FunDays: what to expect

The schedule shifts a little from year to year, but a typical FunDays runs something like this:

Times and the day of the week change each year — treat the above as the typical shape of the weekend, not a fixed schedule, and confirm the current year's lineup with the Town of Mosheim.

The Big Bubba Fun Run car show

If FunDays has a signature event beyond the parade, it's the "Big Bubba Fun Run" Open Car Show — a longtime fixture that brings out classic cars, hot rods, and trucks from around the region. East Tennessee takes its car shows seriously, and Mosheim's is a friendly, open-to-all affair that anchors the festival's afternoon.

A little Mosheim history

FunDays fits a town with a long memory. Mosheim began around 1800 as a German Lutheran settlement called Blue Springs, later renamed for a Lutheran school. It sits on ground that saw the Civil War Battle of Blue Springs in 1863 — and for years FunDays and the town hosted large Battle of Blue Springs reenactments (from 1991 until 2008, when they were discontinued). You can read more about the town's story on our Mosheim community page, which also lists the local schools — Mosheim Elementary and West Greene High School, home of the Buffaloes — and businesses around town.

When is Mosheim FunDays this year?

FunDays lands in early June, but the town sets the exact dates each year. Rather than risk a stale date, we keep the live listing on our events calendar — when the current year's FunDays is announced, it'll show up here and on the calendar:
