The company assembles, warehouses, and ships Americana charcoal grills, electric grills, and water smokers, and also warehouses and distributes Stakmore wood folding furniture and Sudden Comfort steel folding furniture. Founded in 1959, Meco operates two main business units - an Outdoor Living Group focused on grills and smokers, and an Indoor Living Group focused on folding furniture sold through major national retailers. The company is one of the largest privately held corporations in East Tennessee and announced a $27.8 million expansion in 2023 that added 67 jobs.
