Main Street: Greeneville is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on revitalizing the historic 18-block downtown district of Greeneville, Tennessee. Incorporated in 1983, it was one of Tennessee's first five original Main Street communities and is accredited through Main Street America and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. The organization works through a four-point approach - Design, Economic Vitality, Organization, and Promotion - coordinating public and private resources to support downtown businesses, historic preservation, and heritage tourism. It also offers walking tours of the historic downtown, including a presidential history tour tied to Greeneville's connection to Andrew Johnson.
