The Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship is a nonprofit scholarship fund based in Greeneville, honoring Jessica Colter, a 2017 Greeneville High School graduate and ETSU nursing student who died in an automobile accident on December 6, 2020. The fund awards scholarships to high school seniors in Greeneville and Greene County who are pursuing careers in nursing or medicine. It also supports an endowment at East Tennessee State University for nursing students from Greene, Washington, or Benton County. Annual fundraising includes the Jogging for Jess Memorial 5K race, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the fund.
