Greene County Imagination Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides free, age-appropriate books by mail each month to registered children from birth through age 5 in Greene County, Tennessee. The program is part of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which launched locally in January 2005 after the Greene County Commission authorized participation. Enrollment is free, and the organization relies on donations and local sponsors to fund the monthly book mailings. The program has enrolled more than 14,000 children over its history and has distributed well over 450,000 books to Greene County kids.
