Greene County 9-1-1, also known as the Greene County Emergency Communications District, is the centralized public safety answering point serving Greeneville and Greene County, Tennessee. Operating from 111 Union St. in Greeneville, the agency handles emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatches for a broad set of local agencies, including Greene County-Greeneville EMS, the Greeneville Police Department, the Greene County Sheriff's Department, the Greeneville Fire Department, all 15 volunteer fire departments in the county, the Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad, and the Greene County Office of Emergency Management. Residents are directed to call 9-1-1 for all emergencies and (423) 638-8663 for non-emergency matters.
