ERMCO Components, Inc. (ECI) is a manufacturer of electrical distribution transformer components operating out of a roughly 55,000-square-foot facility at 1607 Industrial Road in Greeneville. The company was formed after ERMCO of Dyersburg, Tennessee purchased GE Distribution Transformer Components in 1998, and it expanded further in 2022 by acquiring BTL Industries. ECI is noted as the only U.S. manufacturer of oil-immersed secondary circuit breakers, and its products are sold to utilities and customers worldwide. Products manufactured at the Greeneville plant include circuit breakers, bushings, expulsion fuses, arrester disconnect switches, dry-well fuseholders, overload indicators, and related transformer accessories.
