About
Sweeter Than Sweet Candy Co. is a veteran-owned candy shop at 105 N. Main St., in the retail space of the General Morgan Inn in downtown Greeneville. Mike and Karin Besser opened it in October 2024 as an independent franchise of Sweeter Than Sweet, a candy brand founded in Morristown in 2019. Shoppers fill their own bags at pick-your-own stations for gummies, taffy and jelly beans, and the shelves run from classic and retro candy to unique, hard-to-find treats, single-color M&M's for parties and baking, and Tennessee-made sweets. There's a large selection of novelty sodas, plus a freezer of Dippin' Dots and other ice cream treats. Closed Sundays, with an early 5 p.m. close on Wednesdays.
